Back to Health is pleased to present this instructional series taught by a Registered Dietitian aimed to help you get back to the basics of healthy eating habits. Whether you are starting (or resuming) your weight-loss journey or are simply trying to be your healthiest self, this class can teach you something! If you attend all six classes, you will leave with a detailed list of caloric and macronutrient needs based on your personal health information and goals. WEEKLY SCHEDULE:
1. January 4 - Back to Basics – snack will be provided - Introduction to series - Personal information surveys (for detailed nutrition needs) - Building your nutrition foundation - Topic surveys for week 6 2. January 11 - Disease Prevention - Healthy habits for disease prevention - Foods, nutrients, and vitamins for optimal health - Antioxidants 3. January 18 - Portion Distortion – snack will be provided - Portion sizes - Tips for eating away from home 4. January 25 - Successful Weight Loss - Healthy weight loss - Dietary adjustments - Behavioral adjustments - Physical activity adjustments 5. February 1 - Busting Diet Myths - Discussion of popular beliefs and diets - Dietary requirements 6. February 8 - Attendees’ Choice – snack will be provided - Discussion will be based on surveys from week 1 - Attendees will receive detailed, personalized nutrition information Back to Health is expecting to run this instructional series again in
March, May, July, September and November 2016. |
Cost:
$50 for all 6 weeks or $10 per class |
